FEB 19, 2011:  4th Annual Chilly Fest on Saturday, Feb 19,  10 – 4.  Professional ice carvers downtown, chili competition at 11:00 with judging around noon in a heated tent  (behind Associated Bank on Main St.) – samples given out after awards.  Ice bowling for adults & kids, games for all,  (kids 12-and-under-games are free.) Snowboarding demo by Tweak Boarding.   Weather permitting; some activities will be on the river.  "Warm Up to the Arts;” Men. Falls Art Guild artists in Associated Bank lobby. February 25 and 26:  Clean River, Clear Falls Expo -  2011 Stormwater 2nd Annual Expo. This years event will be on Friday, - Times on Friday 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM -  at the Menomonee Falls Fire Station #3 on Lilly Road
Open to the Public!   FREE Admission.  Come and learn about stormwater pollution and water quality improvement! 

 Join us in learning about what we can do to improve the water quality of the Menomonee River and Fox River.  Come hear entertaining speakers and experts in the areas of rain gardens, rain barrels, rainwater harvesting, canoeing, fish passages and more on both days. 
Hear about the Menomonee Falls River Cleanup Event occurring this April 16, 2011 and how you can participate in the new Adopt-a-River Program. Learn how you can also become a Stream Monitor this summer and test the water quality of our local rivers.  Find out how to protect, preserve, and enjoy our natural resources.  Learn about what we can do in our backyards to improve stormwater quality.

April 22, 2011:Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Menomonee Falls children in Village Park.  (Appleton @ Garfield Avenues.)  Starting at 7pm sharp!  Before the start, the winner of the coloring contest will be announced.  Contest open to all children through Grade 5. Coloring Contest page will be provided HERE .  This is a free event.  Come early and enjoy the antics of clowns and a special visit by the Easter Bunny!  Bring your basket, a flashlight, and your camera.  Questions? APRIL 16, 2011:  Come join the Riverkeepers this Spring on Sat. April 16, 2011  to clean up the Parks and Rivers of Menomonee Falls.   Everyone meets at Rotary Park off Fond du Lac Ave for registration at 8:15 a.m. and the clean-up occurs from 9:00 a.m. until Noon.   Many locations of the River are available to clean up.   Gloves and bags will be supplied. MAY 7: Kids Fishing Derby - Time: 9:00 - 1:00 - Free Fishing Derby! Fishing clinic sponsored by the Badger Fisherman League 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Catch & Release Contest sponsored by the Optimist Club 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Register the day of the Derby for free clinics, fishing contest, and prizes.   Bring your own equipment. MAY 28:, 2011  Fourth annual LUCKY DUCKY DERBY, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Race will be on the Mill Pond, starting at the Roosevelt Bridge and proceeding to a winners circle, just before the waterfall.  Food Soda Beer Raffles and Live music from 3 - ?, after the race, at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse on Water Street. MAY 30, 2011:  10:00am. Memorial Day Parade.  Honoring the Veterans of World War II.  The parade starts at 10am, on Harrison and Main St., heads west to Grand and then heads north to Neu's. The parade lasts about 1 hour.

JULY 3: Independence Day  Parade / Fourth of July Parade. Starts at 7pm at the corner of Appleton Ave. and Elm, and proceeds south to the High School, followed by the fireworks.  Bring along non-perishable food items, and look for the American Family Truck and the people marching with shopping carts to collect items for the Menomonee Falls Food Pantry. OCTOBER 22 & 23:  OLD FALLS VILLAGE: Halloween Family Fun Night 
HALLOWEEN DOWNTOWN: is being held on Oct. 27, 2011.
Trick or Treat will run from 4 - 7:00 pm.  Stores throughout downtown will be participating.
A Scavenger Hunt will be on at the same time.  Participating stores  will be listed on a flyer going to local school children ages 12 & under.   Then the very popular Spooky Walk Through Lime Kiln starts at 7:00 and runs till 8:30.  Spooky Walk starts in the municipal parking lot on Mill just S of Main.
NOVEMBER 5:HOLIDAY BAZAAR - Early Bird Shopping Fair
The Friends of the Menomonee Falls Public Library will host the sixth annual Holiday Bazaar at the Library on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the library. Local representatives who conduct home parties or catalog sales for these products will offer items for on-site purchase or order. Free parking is available on site, and admission is free.  The following home-based vendors are among those who will be participating this year:  Longaberger Baskets, Usborne Books, Arbonne International, Wild Tree, Watkins, Tupperware, Gold Canyon Candles, At Home America, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Miche Bags, Shaklee, Sunjel, Simply Fun, Stampin' Up, and the Migraine Health & Wellness Center.   The event is a fundraiser of the Friends group, with a percentage of sales going to them. The Friends provide support to the Library with their fund raising and volunteer efforts for programs & purchase of materials. For  information, call 262-532-8930 or -8931.

Christmas Parade! This year's theme is "Santa's Big Scene" TREE LIGHTING will be at the 4 corners!
Caroling and other entertainment will be taking place in the lobby of Associated Bank!
Santa will be meeting children in the Bradley Realtors building on Appleton, just N. or Main St.
Parade starts on Main, W of Pilgrim Rd., then turns South on Appleton..  .  Horse & Buggy rides $2 per person on the side of Associated Bank. 12 - 3
FREE Kids train rides from 1-3 on Church St.
Downtown stores will be open from Noon until 4:00PM, with merchant specials and refreshments.
Christmas tree lighting is at 4:00.
