April 18 2015:  Menomonee Falls is participating in the Menomonee River and Park Cleanup Event organized by the Milwaukee Riverkeeper in honor of Earth Day. There are many segments of the rivers and parks available here in Menomonee Falls. We are looking for volunteers who want to come out and help clean up trash along the river and parks. Register the day of the Derby for free clinics, fishing contest, and prizes. 
Bring your own equipment. Free bait provided. Food - brats, hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, chips and cookies sold at park shelter.  Children under 9 must be accompanied by parent and their help only. Under 16 - no permit req'd.

Lucky Ducky Derby

Seventh annual LUCKY DUCKY DERBY, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. 
Race will be on the Mill Pond, starting at the Roosevelt Bridge and proceeding to a winners circle, just before the waterfall.  Food Soda Beer Raffles and Live music from 3 - ?, after the race, at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse on Water Street. 

Held at Mill Pond Park, thousands of little yellow duckies will be let go from the Roosevelt Bridge and "race" their way to just before the dam.   Get your ticket(s) that sponsors a duck and you just might be a winner!  You can purchase tickets to enter a duck in the derby by visiting the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse or the Village Centre Office on the 4 corners, at 262-255-2241.  Food & beverage will be available before and during the race at the park pavilion beginning at noon.  Music will be provided from 3 - 7 pm at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse on Water Street.  Food, beverage, and games for the kids will also be available at the clubhouse.

Memorial Day Parade
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Annual parade starts at Harrison & Main Streets. Heads west on Main to Grand then down Grand to Neu's.
10:00am. Memorial Day Parade.   The parade lasts about 1 hour.

NOVEMBER 2:  HOLIDAY BAZAAR - Early Bird Shopping Fair
The Friends of the Menomonee Falls Public Library will host the sixth annual Holiday Bazaar at the Library on Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the library. Local representatives who conduct home parties or catalog sales for these products will offer items for onset purchase or order. Free parking is available on site, and admission is free.  The following home-based vendors are among those who will be participating this year:  Longaberger Baskets, Usborne Books, Arbonne International, Wild Tree, Watkins, Tupperware, Gold Canyon Candles, At Home America, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Miche Bags, Shaklee, Sunjel, Simply Fun, Stampin' Up, and the Migraine Health & Wellness Center.   The event is a fundraiser of the Friends group, with a percentage of sales going to them.
